PICTURES OF JESUS CHRIST
There are many reasons why people seem so
interested in pictures of Jesus Christ, after all, we know
no one who has actually seen Him face to face. Yet some
pictures of Jesus Christ look alike, while other pictures of
Jesus Christ look so different. One can think the reason for
this is simply different peoples take on what He looked
like. That just may be one of many reasons some have an
interest in looking through pictures of Jesus Christ.
Another use for pictures of Jesus Christ
would be for clip art used in religious articles, church
bulletins, while other Christians simply like a picture of
Jesus Christ to accompany their emails as a sign of faith.
There are many different types of pictures
of Jesus Christ. Some show Him suffering when hanging on the
cross, others seem to favor pictures of Jesus Christ
teaching, or with children, performing miracles, or kneeling
quietly and praying, as a young boy with his parents Joseph
and Mary, and familiar to everyone, pictures of Jesus Christ
as a newborn, in the manger, a favorite on Christmas cards.
Fascination with someone we have never
seen? Possibly. Intrigued by someone who is so holy? Another
possibility. Whatever it is, we have to agree, there is a
need to know more about Him, and pictures detailing the life
of Jesus Christ is one way to expand our knowledge.
Pictures of Jesus Christ are very differ
from church to church as well. Some churches have pictures
of Jesus Christ during the passion, blood covered in agony,
with a crown of thorns on His head carrying the cross. When
asked why such pictures of Jesus Christ suffering, they
explain that the reminder of what He did for us is most
important to them.
While other churches tend to show the
risen Christ in their picture choices for the same reason.
They too, like to be reminded of what He did for them. Both
are correct, it ʽs just different choices made by different
churches.
These are just a few examples of why there
is a need for pictures of Jesus Christ. Young and old,
clergy or laymen, students or those who teach, pictures of
Jesus Christ are useful to many. Page through pictures of
Jesus Christ, look at the different pictures collected, you
may just find one that you could use, one that speaks to
you, one you can connect with.
